The second album by the English band New Order was originally released in May 1983 by Factory Records. Totally different from the previous Movement, it sees a greater use of synthesizers and a decidedly less dark sound, obtaining a great commercial success. The cover design is the work A Basket of Roses by the French artist Henri Fantin-Latour. The album's designer, Peter Saville.
